Admission Fee :
    \300 for an adult, \150 for a colledge or a high school student, free for a child under high school age or an adults over 64. (an additional charge will be requested for special exhibitions)

Opening Hours :
    9:00 am - 4:30 pm (last admission 4:00 pm).

Closed :
    Every Monday (or Tuesday if the National Holiday falls on the Monday),
    December 28 - January 4, and other days for occasional renovation.

Important Notes :
    For photography and copying permission, please apply at Information Desk.
    Smoking is not permitted in the building.
    Kindly refrain from eating in the museum.
    Please do not disturb other visitors.
    Please follow instructions of museum guides.
 Transportation
By Train and Bus :
    From JR / Keisei Chiba Station, take a bus for Daigaku-Byouin or Minami-Yahagi.
    5 minutes walk from the Chuo-Hakubutsukan bus-stop.
    Or 15 minutes walk from Keisei Chiba-dera Station.

By Car :
    Five minutes' drive from the Matsugaoka Inter-change of the Keiyo highway.

Parking :
    Public parking lot in Aobanomori Park (Charged).
 Museum Facilities
Museum Shop :
    The museum shop run by the Friends of the Museum, offer an interesting range of natural history and humanities books, souvenirs and gifts.

    Opening Hours :
        Daily  11:30 am to 4:30 pm
        Every Saturday, Sunday and National Holidays  9:30 am - 4:30 pm

Coffee Shop :
    The coffee shop "Aoba", located on the second floor, serves light meals and refreshments.
Open daily 10 am to 4 pm.
 The Friends of the Museum (Tomono-kai)
    The Friends of the Museum is an association of people who wish to learn about the nature and the history of Chiba Prefecture widely and deeply, while participating in events held by the Museum. Join the Friends of the Museum, and receive some benefits: discount at the Museum shop, subscription to the Museum's periodical publications (in Japanese) and other information bulletins (in Japanese).

    Annual membership fee
        - Individual membership : 2,000 JPY
        - Family membership : 3,000 JPY
        - Supporting membership : 10,000 JPY(per unit)
