眺望台からの眺め Changing Tourist Attractions |

かつて印旛沼近くにあった眺望台です。建てられた次期や場所・高サ・構造など子細不明ながら、戦前の昭和初期に甚兵衛渡し近くの立地と見込まれます。 周辺の家・道・田畑の規模や宵闇の深さなど今と大きく乖離した当時の環境下、高い塔の上からは四方を鳥瞰でき、人気の眺望台だったはずです。眼科には印旛沼の水面が今よりも広大に見渡せ、近景に甚兵衛渡しの松を配して遠くに筑波山や日光連山を望む眺望が目に浮かびます。夕暮れには雁鴨類の大群が空を埋め尽くし、夜の帳が下りれば満天の星が煌めき、月光が水面に反射してひときわ幻想的な景観に包まれたであろう・・・と想いが膨らみます。 |

| This is the observatory tower which once stood by Lake Inbanuma, probably near Jimbei's Jetty in pre-war Showa(1926-1945). All the detailed information about it, however, such as its exact location, height and structure and when it was built, is unknown. The tower must have been a popular observatory, offering a great bird's-eye view of an area which in terms of the surrounding houses, roads and fields, as well as the depth of the darkness at twilight, would have been completely different from today. From the observatory, you may have been able to picture a broader view of the lake than you can see now, with Mt. Tsukuba and the mountain range of Nikko in the distance and pine trees by Jimbei's jetty in the foreground. Some evenings must have been enchanting. At dusk, large flocks of geese and ducks would colour the sky, and when night fell, stars would twinkle and the moonlight would reflect on the water. These pictures are sure to kindle your imagination. |
