旅日記になった　絵はがき

Postcard Travel Journals		  
  　右の額の絵はがきは、旅先で購入し、旅の記録を書き込み、旅日記として使ったものです。
　大正時代末から昭和はじめに発行された「銚子名所　犬吠岬」という絵はがきセットです。絵はがき１枚１枚に、その写真の場所での出来事、考えたことなどが細かく記されています。まるで写真付きの日記のようです。
　袋の裏には「銚子遊覧記念　　（欠）　年九月廿四日」と記され、袋の中には当日の「旅行梗概」と記されたメモが入っています。（梗概：あらすじ、あらまし）これによれば、銚子の名所をぐるりと一周していることがわかります。
　これもまた、絵はがきに旅の思い出を託している1つの例です。 		 
  　  
   The framed picture postcards displayed on the right, a set entitled “Inubosaki – Places of Interest in Choshi”, which was issued in the 1920s, were used by a tourist as his travel journal. Events which happened at the places in the pictures and the tourist’s thoughts on them were described in detail like in a photo diary. The back of the package containing the cards is marked “for remembering my trip to Choshi, September 24th of the year (missing)”. According to a note with the title of “My Travel Summary” included in the packet, the tourist must have made a round trip, stopping at the sightseeing spots in Choshi. This is another example of postcards used as a memento.
