The Natural History Museum and Institute, Chiba (Chiba ken-ritsu chuo hakubutsukan) is a facility in Chiba Prefecture that opened in 1989. The Museum’s mission is to provide high-quality public education regarding Chiba’s natural and human history.WELCOME TO THE MUSEUM
Visitors of all ages can enjoy our permanent exhibition halls, which focus on all aspects of natural and human history of the Boso Peninsula: a peninsula that encompasses the entire Chiba Prefecture.
